Former NBA player Tony Snell revealed in a recent interview that he has been diagnosed with autism.

Snell was drafted by Chicago with the 20th pick of the first round in the 2013 draft. He went on to spend nine years in the NBA, playing for Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Atlanta, Portland, and New Orleans.

Despite being far from flashy, Snell was a solid 3-and-D resource who was called upon by many teams. In 601 career games, he averaged 6.1 points and 2.3 rebounds.

Snell recently revealed that he has been diagnosed with autism. Snell’s son was recently diagnosed with autism and he was tested and found to have the same diagnosis.

Snell is also known for his very quiet style, not showing much emotion during games. He noted that he hasn’t had a lot of personal interaction with people since he was a kid, but this diagnosis has given him a lot of clarity and understanding of the life he’s been living.
