The Twins’ outfielder’s gesture made the opposing team’s bat boy laugh. LG’s Austin Dean showed off his spontaneous playfulness.

LG jumped out to a 5-3 lead in the first game of KIA’s three-game weekend series at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on Sunday.

Austin, batting fourth in the lineup, led the offence with three hits, including a leadoff single and a two-run double, as LG avenged last month’s sweep behind 5.2 innings of one-run ball from starter Plutko.

Austin, who led off the game with a solo home run in his first at-bat in the top of the second inning, hit a two-run double with runners on second and third to make it 3-0 in the top of the third.

Austin’s defensive prowess continued in the bottom of the inning, when he turned a tricky grounder by Socrates into a double play to take a load off Plutko’s shoulders.

The play that made Batboy smile came in the bottom of the sixth inning.메이저놀이터

Ko Jong-wook, who led off the bottom of the sixth, hit a fastball from Plutko that broke his bat, causing him to fly out to second base.

Austin picked up a piece of the bat that fell to the ground, and a batboy in a KIA uniform approached him to retrieve it, which is when Austin’s playfulness kicked in.

With the piece of bat in hand, Austin made a threatening gesture of raising the sharp part of the bat high into the air and snapping it down, causing the batboy to burst out laughing at the sweet gesture.

For a team that has been struggling with foreign batsmen, Austin has been the solution, topping the charts in every hitting category.

Along with his outstanding baseball skills, Austin’s positive and fun personality has made LG fans smile.
