Korean archery has recruited a foreign commander for the first time to improve its compound archery competitiveness.

The Korea Archery Association announced on the 6th that it had appointed Leo Wild (49), an American, as the head coach of the national compound archery team.

According to the Archery Association, this is the 스포츠토토first time for the Korean national team to be led by a foreign coach, both in compound and recurve.

Korean archery has shown off the world’s best skills in recurve, an Olympic event, but has shown a relatively weak appearance in compound.

Currently, there is no Korean player in the top 10 of the men’s and women’s compound world rankings.

Coach Wild won a number of gold medals on the international stage during his active career, including World Championships (3 times), World Cup Finals (1 time) and World Cup (29 times).

He has also proven his ability as a leader by continuously producing excellent players in the US national team.

Coach Wild will be in charge of overall guidance such as technology, equipment, and psychology with the goal of strengthening the compound national team’s performance ahead of important international competitions such as the World Championships and Hangzhou Asian Games for one year this year.

“It is an honor to be part of the Korean national archery team,” coach Wild said.

Coach Wild will join the compound national team from the field training in Salt Lake City, USA on the 6th.
